The Aodani-bairin Ume Plum forest produces the rare variety of large-stoned Joshuhaku plums, and organises an Ume plum festival during February and March when the trees begin to blossom. Many visitors from overseas come to visit and feel the first arrival of the Japanese springtime.
Hikari-no-Pageant ~TWINKLE JOYO~ is an illumination event attracting many visitors from all around the Kinki region. The special feature of this event is the local organisations who all create spectacular designs and pieces to display, making it a little different and special than other illumination events around the country. There are also various things set up at the venue, such as an event stage and sales of snacks and drinks.
