Endangered Bryophytes in Kyoto Prefecture
Bryophytes found in Kyoto Prefecture fall into 552 species from 83 families and three orders, of which four extinct, 44 critically endangered, 46 endangered, 36 vulnerable, and eight near threatened & least concern species are listed in the Kyoto Prefecture Red Data Book. Of the species observed in the prefecture, threatened species account for 25%.
