Pteridophytes found in Kyoto Prefecture fall into 357 species from 24 families and three orders, of which five extinct, 36 critically endangered, 33 endangered, 16 vulnerable, and 32 near threatened & least concern species are listed in the Kyoto Prefecture Red Data Book. Of the species observed in the prefecture, threatened species account for 34.1%.
